Panathinaikos finalizing deal with Kenneth Faried

According to Aris Barkas of Eurohoops, Panathinaikos Athens is finalizing a deal with Kenneth Faried, currently playing in Taiwan. The Greek champions needed a center on a contract running through the end of the season and have already bought out the player from his Taiwanese club.

Faried, who previously played in the EuroLeague with CSKA Moscow, posted 12 points and 12 rebounds in his lone game this season with the Ghosthawks. Last year, he played for Reggio Emilia in Italy (8.0 points, 6.7 rebounds) and averaged 9.9 points and 7.9 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League. Over the summer, he starred for Santurce in Puerto Rico, averaging 12.9 points and 10.5 boards while reaching the playoffs series against Danilo Gallinari’s Bayamon.
