Panathinaikos, Ataman’s bench increasingly unstable as Obradovic name emerges

Ergin Ataman is reportedly moving closer to leaving Panathinaikos after the EuroLeague playoff elimination against Valencia.

According to Mozzart Sport, the possibility of a separation as early as this week is growing in Athens. Missing the Final Four hosted in the Greek capital has made the atmosphere around the Turkish coach extremely heavy.

The main name for a potential replacement would be Zeljko Obradovic, the most successful coach in club history, having won five EuroLeague titles with Panathinaikos.

Obradovic has been out of coaching since leaving Partizan last November and had already said he would evaluate offers only at the end of the season. For Panathinaikos, the target would be clear: start a new cycle with Zoc chasing his personal tenth EuroLeague title.
