Speaking before Wednesday’s Feb. 26 matchup against Paris (21:15, Telekom Center), Ergin Ataman said Mathias Lessort is ready to play again following his serious injury. However, Lesort will not be available against the French side due to a one-game suspension, meaning his return is expected after the national-team window, with a gradual ramp-up in games and full practices.
Ataman stressed the need for a strong EuroLeague mindset entering the final stretch, highlighting transition defense, limiting offensive mistakes, and moving the ball. With standings margins tight, he noted that the same team can swing between a top-four position and outside the playoff zone, increasing the importance of focus every night.
On roster planning, Ataman suggested Omer Yurtseven will probably remain through the end of the season to provide “safety” in the frontcourt, depending on how Lesort responds in the coming weeks. He added Yurtseven won’t be used on Wednesday, while Hayes-Davis is still integrating and should be fully ready next week.
