A new dispute has emerged between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos following the closing moments of Virtus Bologna-Olympiacos. Panathinaikos has formally asked EuroLeague to open disciplinary proceedings against Giorgos Bartzokas.
The request follows footage from the end of the game in Bologna, when Virtus players celebrated near the Olympiacos bench and Bartzokas had contact with players moving toward him.
Dimitris Giannakopoulos publicly called for EuroLeague to investigate the incident, arguing that such episodes should be judged with the same standards applied to other officials and participants in the competition.
Olympiacos responded through its official X account with a pointed message aimed indirectly at the Panathinaikos owner.
