Pallacanestro Varese have announced the signing of William McDowell-White. The 1998-born Australian point guard, native of Brisbane, joins the club after winning the EuroCup with JL Bourg.
At 1.96m, McDowell-White brings playmaking vision, size and versatility to Varese. During his career, he has played in Australia with the Brisbane Spartans, Sydney Kings and New Zealand Breakers, in Germany with Brose Bamberg and ALBA Berlin, in the G League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and in France with Bourg.
“We are very happy to welcome Will to Varese,” said Zachary Sogolow. McDowell-White is also a regular part of the Australian national team program and won the gold medal at the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup.
