Pallacanestro Varese is waiting for a wild card to play in the next Basketball Champions League.
If BCL awards the Italian team with a wild card, Varese will try to sign Giordano Bortolani, as reparted by La Prealpina.
Bortolani has a contract with Olimpia Milano through June 2025 but the Italian reigning champions have option to part ways by June 30.
Bortolani has three options for his future.
Milano opt out of his deal and he becomes a free agent and will choose his future.
Milano opts in and will loan Bortolani to Varese.
Milano opts in and keeps him in the roster for next season.
Bortolani spent the season with Verona averaging 9.9 points. He started the year in Spain with Manresa scoring 10.1ppg in 7 ACB games.
