Pallacanestro Trieste have announced the contract renewal of Colbey Ross. The American point guard is set to play his third season in the red-and-white jersey, confirming a strong bond built over time with both the club and the city.
Ross’ last season was affected by several injuries, but when available he provided an important contribution: 11.5 points and 4.9 assists per game in more than 24 minutes, shooting 54.5% from two-point range and 82% from the free-throw line. His defining moment was the game-winning basket in Game 1 of the playoff series on the road against Brescia.
“Colbey’s return to Trieste has a deep impact,” GM Michael Arcieri said. Head coach Francesco Taccetti called him “an essential element to give continuity to the group,” while Ross added: “I am very happy to have renewed with Trieste for a third season. I strongly believe in this year’s project. What we are building here in Trieste is truly unique.”
