Federico Fucà has joined Colombia’s coaching staff for the second round of the 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers. The Pallacanestro Reggiana assistant returns to international basketball after spending four years with Italy’s national-team program.

Fucà will focus particularly on tactical and defensive preparation. “This experience will enrich me professionally and personally,” he said. Reggiana center Jaime Echenique has also been selected by head coach Tomas Diaz.

Colombia will open the window on Friday night against Mexico in Zacatecas before facing the United States in Washington on September 1. The two appointments were officially announced by Pallacanestro Reggiana.
