Pablo Laso addresses Anadolu Efes future: I have a contract, I only think about winning the league

Pablo Laso has addressed growing speculation over his future with Anadolu Efes. The Spanish coach, who took over in December after Igor Kokoskov, said his focus is only on the Turkish League playoffs.

“There’s a lot of talk. I know my own reality, my own situation. I even read that a new coach might come in to replace me. Well, what can I do?” Laso told Gigantes.

“My situation is very simple. I have a contract for next season. The club has the option not to renew it, and I also have the option not to continue. That’s normal. But right now, the only thing that concerns me is winning the league,” he added.

Anadolu Efes finished 19th in the EuroLeague standings with a 12-26 record and will now face Fenerbahce in the Turkish League semifinals.
