The Orlando Magic may have suffered a major setback as Paolo Banchero exited their 124-107 win over the New York Knicks with a groin injury.
Banchero said he felt pain “right away” and chose to leave the game rather than risk further damage. The forward will undergo an MRI on Thursday to determine the extent of the injury and a possible recovery timeline.
Team trainers are hopeful it’s not a tear, but any absence would hurt Orlando, now 6-6 and battling for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference.
