Paolo Banchero, Orlando Magic forward and last season’s All-Star, is progressing in his recovery and hopes to return to action within the next few weeks. The torn oblique sustained in October, which has sidelined him for 28 of the team’s 33 games, is now fully healed.
Banchero, who was averaging 29 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists before the injury, is focused on regaining game shape but hasn’t yet participated in 5-on-5 play or full practices. Magic coach Jamahl Mosley expressed encouragement about his progress, while Banchero shared his excitement about getting back on the court soon.
