Omoruyi and Ukov ejected after fight during Besiktas vs CSKA Moscow preseason clash

Beşiktaş delivered an impressive performance against CSKA Moscow, cruising to a 23-point victory in a physical game that ended with both Eugene Omoruyi and Ivan Ukov being ejected after a fight.

Beşiktaş looked in excellent shape in its preseason matchup against CSKA Moscow, a team expected to return to the EuroLeague next season, and secured a convincing 80-57 victory.

The game was physical from the opening minutes, but remained under control until an unexpected incident in the fourth quarter.

Beşiktaş took an early 7-6 lead before the first quarter ended tied at 21-21.

The Turkish side then took control in the second quarter, using excellent ball movement to build a 31-25 advantage four minutes into the period. Beşiktaş continued to disrupt CSKA’s defense and extended the lead to 40-25, entering halftime up 43-27.

Beşiktaş had already involved 10 different players in the scoring column and recorded 16 assists by the break.

Beşiktaş pulls away

The Turkish team continued to play unselfish basketball after halftime, pushing the lead to 50-29 less than three minutes into the third quarter.

A series of turnovers allowed CSKA to cut the deficit to 10 points, but Beşiktaş recovered and entered the final period with a 60-45 lead, thanks to a Scottie Wilbekin three-pointer at the buzzer.

Omoruyi and Ukov ejected after fight

With the score at 63-49, the game suddenly turned heated.

Following a rebounding play, Beşiktaş’s Eugene Omoruyi and CSKA’s Ivan Ukov exchanged punches. Players and officials immediately intervened, and the altercation was brought to an end quickly.

Both players were ejected from the game.

Beşiktaş remained in control after the incident and closed out a dominant 80-57 victory.

Anthony Brown leads Beşiktaş

Beşiktaş finished the game with an impressive 28 assists.

Anthony Brown led the way with 16 points on 4-of-5 shooting from three-point range, along with six rebounds.

Ante Zizic added 15 points and two rebounds, while David DeJulius finished with 12 points and two assists.

Scottie Wilbekin contributed six points, four assists and two rebounds, while Conor Morgan scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds.
