Olympiacos finds its temporary home

Olympiacos has officially announced an agreement with AEK Athens that will see the Piraeus side play its home games at SUNEL Arena over the coming months.

The decision brings an end to the months-long uncertainty surrounding Olympiacos’ home venue while work on the new Peace and Friendship Stadium is underway.

The club will remain at SUNEL Arena until the renovations are completed and the new SEF is handed over.

Olympiacos thanks AEK

Olympiacos also thanked AEK for its cooperation and hospitality during the transitional period.

“The temporary change of venue does not change what we know well: wherever our team plays, its strength is its fans. The red-and-white voice, passion and support of our supporters will accompany us on this journey as well,” the club said.

“Olympiacos would like to warmly thank AEK for the excellent cooperation, its response and its hospitality, which made a significant contribution to finding the best possible solution for our team during this transitional period.”

The club concluded its announcement with a clear message: “Until the great return, we continue together.”
