Olympiacos officially brings George Papas back

The Greek club announced the signing of the 28-year-old guard on a one-year contract. Papas previously played for Olympiacos from 2022 to 2024

George Papas is back with Olympiacos. The Piraeus club officially announced the return of the Greek-American guard, who has signed a one-year deal.

The 28-year-old previously represented the Reds between 2022 and 2024, winning the Greek championship, the Greek Cup and two Super Cups. He later played for Promitheas, Peristeri, Panionios and Maroussi.

According to Olympiacos’ official announcement, Papas averaged 6.7 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 15 games for Maroussi during the 2025-26 season. He also recorded 5.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists across ten appearances for Panionios.
