Olympiacos defeated Crvena Zvezda 89-87 on the opening day of the Neophytos Chandriotis tournament in Nicosia, beating the Serbian side again after their recent meeting in Crete.
Sasha Vezenkov finished with 22 points and four rebounds, scoring six straight in the final minute to overturn an 86-87 deficit. Jean Montero delivered two decisive defensive plays, while Evan Fournier added 16 points.
Chima Moneke and Jordan Nwora scored 17 points apiece for Crvena Zvezda, with Johnathan Motley adding 15. Olympiacos will face Maccabi Tel Aviv on Sunday at 18:00.
