Olympiacos is closing in on the signing of Mbaye Ndiaye ahead of the 2026-27 season. According to BasketNews, negotiations with ASVEL Villeurbanne are at an advanced stage, and the deal could be finalized soon.
Although Ndiaye signed a contract extension with ASVEL earlier this summer, the French club’s financial issues have forced a change of plans, paving the way for his departure. ASVEL is expected to receive a buyout that could reach nearly €500,000.
The 27-year-old Senegalese forward is coming off the best EuroLeague season of his career, averaging 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.4 blocks per game, establishing himself as one of the competition’s most versatile defensive players.
