Georgios Bartzokas is expected to remain on the Olympiacos bench after winning the EuroLeague title. According to SDNA, the Greek coach’s stay is now considered certain.
A final agreement is not yet in place, but it is reportedly only a matter of time before the details regarding salary and contract length are completed. Bartzokas and the Angelopoulos brothers had already held an informal discussion during the season.
The coach’s current deal expires this summer, but the European title, achieved after four unsuccessful attempts, has strengthened both sides’ desire to continue together. The new agreement is expected to cover at least the next two seasons.
