Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano has announced an agreement with Garrison Mathews, a 1.96-meter guard born on October 24, 1996, in Franklin, Tennessee. Mathews joins Olimpia after his most recent experience with the Indiana Pacers.

Career
Born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee, Mathews attended his local high school before spending four seasons at Lipscomb University in Nashville. He scored in double figures in every season and averaged more than 20 points per game during his final three years.
In 2017-18, he led Lipscomb to the first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. The following season, he guided the team to the NIT final, scoring 44 points against NC State in the quarterfinals and 34 against Wichita State in the semifinals. In 2019, he was named Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year and became Lipscomb’s all-time leading scorer.
Mathews signed with the Washington Wizards in 2019 and spent two seasons with the franchise, followed by one and a half seasons in Houston, two and a half in Atlanta and, most recently, 15 games with the Indiana Pacers.
Overall, he has appeared in 329 NBA games, averaging 6.4 points per game. He averaged 10.0 points for Washington in 2021-22 and 7.5 points for Atlanta in 2024-25. Mathews is a career 38.2% three-point shooter and shot 44.0% from beyond the arc in 2023-24, ranking fourth in the NBA.
