Olimpia Milano announced a multi-year agreement with Dante Maddox Jr., a 1.88-meter American guard born in Chicago on January 15, 2002. Maddox joins from Okapi Aalstar and will spend the 2026/27 season on loan with Bertram Yachts Derthona.
Maddox is coming off a dominant first professional season in the BNXT League, the competition featuring teams from Belgium and the Netherlands. With Okapi Aalstar, he was named league MVP, also finishing as the top scorer and leading the league in efficiency. According to Derthona, he averaged 24.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists between regular season and playoffs.
The guard also played in the Las Vegas NBA Summer League with the Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists over four games. For Tortona, Maddox is a high-upside addition to the backcourt, while Olimpia Milano secures a prospect to monitor closely during his development in Serie A and EuroCup.
