Vlatko Cancar is reportedly ready to leave the Denver Nuggets after five NBA seasons and a title in 2023, with Olimpia Milano emerging as the favourite destination according to BasketNews. The news was also confirmed to ROM.
The 28-year-old Slovenian played 143 NBA games averaging 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds, finishing last season with 1.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11 minutes per game.
Cancar, who starred with the Slovenian national team at the 2017 and 2022 European Championships, is the player who would complement Zach LeDay on the big wing with his 203 centimetres. In 2018-2019 he had produced 10 points on average in the ACB with 3.7 rebounds in a San Pablo Burgos jersey.
According to reports in ROM Ettore Messina had also followed the player in previous years.
