Olimpia Milano has reached an agreement until 2025 with Diego Flaccadori, born on 5 April 1996 in Seriano (BG), 1.93 mt tall point guard, coming from Aquila Trento. “Flaccadori is coming to Milan at the right time of his career, he is still young, motivated, but he is also experienced enough. During the last couple of seasons, he has been playing at a high and consistent level, both in the Italian league and the Eurocup. So, we are happy to welcome him to our family,” Olimpia’s general manager Christos Stavropoulos said. “I’m happy, humble and excited to come to Olimpia. I’m coming from an experience that helped me build confidence in my skills and personality. I think this is the right time for me to land in such an important club, so I can’t wait to start my job and help Olimpia achieve its goals,” Flaccadori said.

HIS CAREER – Diego Flaccadori, after a year in Treviglio, in the Italian second division, moved to Trento before the 2014/15 season at just 18, making his debut in immediately. He played five seasons in Trento, including two championship finals series appearances, in 2017 and 2018, before joining Bayern Munich in the summer of 2019 and staying there for two years. In 2021 he returned to Trento to play another two seasons. In 2021/22 he averaged 15.4 points and 3.7 assists per game; in 2022/23 he averaged 13.2 points and 3.2 assists per game. In the EuroLeague, he played 44 games over two seasons at Bayern Munich. In Trento, he played 77 Eurocup games in five seasons. In the 2022/23 season he averaged 12.9 points and 4.6 assists per game.

NOTES – Flaccadori played with the Italian national team at the Under 16, Under 18 and Under 20 European Championships when he led the competition in steals with 2.6 per game. He also played in the Under-19 World Cup tournament in 2015. He made his debut with the senior National Team in Treviso on 23 February 2018, scoring 10 points in Italy’s victory over the Netherlands. He was named the best Under-22 player in the Italian league in 2016.
