The Italian forward joins from Virtus Bologna on a multi-year deal

Nicola Akele is a new Olimpia Milano player. The club announced a multi-year agreement with the 2.03m forward, born in Treviso on November 7, 1995, who joins from Virtus Bologna.

Akele arrives in Milan after winning the Italian league title with Bologna in 2025. During his career, he has also played for Roseto, Treviso, Cremona and Brescia, winning the Italian Cup with Brescia in 2023, after his U.S. experience between IMG Academy and Rhode Island University.

“I arrive in Milan with great ambitions and ready to give my best,” Akele said. He described the opportunity as “a privilege,” highlighting Olimpia Milano’s mentality and organization as being “at the top in Europe.”
