Olimpia Milano’s market is also moving on the perimeter. Alongside the Moses Wright situation in the frontcourt, the Italian club is working on Garrison Mathews, a 1996-born American wing.
The news, first reported by Eurohoops, has been confirmed to RealOlimpiaMilano: talks between Mathews and Olimpia Milano are ongoing, with the agreement substantially reached. The 195 cm player has NBA experience with the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers.
Last season with Indiana, Mathews averaged 5.2 points in 15 appearances, while his best NBA stretch came with Houston between 2021 and 2023. Milano see him as a 3&D profile, bringing shooting, physicality and size, but the deal remains pending because of an NBA window open at least until July 15.
