For the first time in almost 18 years, and the first time ever in Euroleague (both Era) history, Olimpia Milano wins in Madrid against Real. It is a win worth double, as Milano secured a 2-0 season series over the Spanish powerhouse. The key of the game is a 16-2 run in the 3rd which propelled a break that gave Milano a 17-point lead late in the period, a deficit which Real was able to cut but not completely overcome.
Sergio Rodriguez led Olimpia with 17 points in just 14′, while Delaney added 14 and LeDay 12. Carroll’s 22 points effort wasn’t enough for Real.
