The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the New Orleans Pelicans in Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs at the end of what was certainly a complicated game with an exciting and uncertain ending. One of the reasons for the home team’s victory was the contribution of Chet Holmgren, who had a record-breaking night. In fact, the rookie joined David Robinson as the only players in the NBA Playoffs to record a double-double with at least 5 blocks in their first postseason game.
Chet Holmgren finished the game with 15 points, 11 rebounds, 5 turnovers and 2 assists.
