City Thunder All-Star Jalen Williams was ruled out for the second half of Monday’s 140-127 loss to the Denver Nuggets due to a right hip strain.
Williams sustained the injury in the second quarter when Peyton Watson landed on him after committing a foul. He briefly stayed in the game before heading to the locker room and was ruled out at halftime, finishing with 12 points in 14 minutes.
Thunder coach Mark Daigneault had no update postgame, stating that Williams will be evaluated on Tuesday. The first-time All-Star has been a key piece for the Western Conference-leading Thunder, averaging 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists this season.
