Zalgiris Kaunas officially announced the signing of Maxwell Lewis, the 2002-born American forward, on a 2+1 deal through the end of the 2028-29 season.
The player, selected with the No. 40 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and later moved to the Los Angeles Lakers, will spend next season on loan with the London Lions, coached by Tautvydas Sabonis.
Lewis finished the 2025-26 season with Juventus Utena, becoming one of the key figures in the club’s historic run to the LKL Finals. In the championship series, he averaged 19.7 points and 23.3 PIR. “We are ready to develop and invest,” Zalgiris sports director Gediminas Navickas said.
