Pallacanestro Reggiana has announced the signing of Colombian center Jaime Echenique for the 2025/2026 season.
Echenique spent last season in Turkey with Petkim Spor, averaging 11.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in about 22 minutes per game in the Basketball Champions League, earning a spot in the “Play-Ins” Best Five. With the Colombian national team, he has 14 official caps and shone at the 2022 AmeriCup in Brazil, posting over 16 points and 7 rebounds per game.
Coach Dimitris Priftis welcomed the new addition:
“We are completing our foreign player lineup with an important player. Echenique has great skills around the rim and is very experienced, having played in multiple European leagues. I believe he can help us develop the style of play we envision and achieve the goals we have set.”
