Jonas Valanciunas is leaving the NBA after 14 seasons to return to his homeland, signing a two-year contract with Zalgiris Kaunas.
The veteran center finishes his NBA career with averages of 12.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks in 24 minutes per game, while shooting 56% from the field and 79% from the free-throw line.
Valanciunas was waived by the Denver Nuggets, who opted not to guarantee $8 million of the $10 million remaining on his contract.
According to BasketNews, the 34-year-old big man will earn approximately €5 million over the two-year deal.
His arrival is expected to complete Zalgiris Kaunas’ roster for the 2026-27 season.
