Peristeri Betsson has officially announced the signing of Noah Freidel, a 26-year-old, 1.93-meter American guard. The agreement comes one day after the club parted ways with Paul Scruggs and is aimed at strengthening the team’s backcourt.
Freidel spent last season in Poland with King Szczecin, averaging 10.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.9 steals over 35 games. He also shot 34.6% from three-point range while playing 23.7 minutes per game.
Born in Tea, South Dakota, on November 26, 2000, Freidel played college basketball for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits before joining the James Madison Dukes. Across 132 college games, he averaged 11.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 steals.
His first European experience came during the 2024-25 season in Belgium with the Stella Artois Leuven Bears. In 38 games, he averaged 16.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals, while shooting 36.9% from three-point range.
Freidel will now join Peristeri for the 2026-27 season, adding another option and greater depth to the team’s backcourt.
