Despite solid stats, the Bulls’ veteran center doesn’t seem to have a strong trade market

Nikola Vucevic averaged 18.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists last season while shooting 53% from the field and 40.2% from three, but his market value appears to be cooling off. According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, a mid-season buyout is currently more likely than a trade for the 34-year-old center.

Vucevic is entering the final year of a three-year, $60 million deal with the Chicago Bulls, set to earn $21.5 million in 2025-26. His age, contract size, and defensive limitations are making teams hesitant to pursue him via trade. So far, Chicago’s offseason has been quiet, marked by the trade of Lonzo Ball for Isaac Okoro, the re-signing of Tre Jones, and the No. 12 pick Noa Essengue in the NBA Draft.
