Russell Westbrook against his former team scored 14 points with 7 rebounds and 11 assists in 24 minutes. Despite trailing 63-57 at halftime after a strong 22-8 second-quarter run by the Lakers, the Nuggets took control in the second half.
Denver opened the third quarter with a 25-9 run, fueled by Porter’s hot hand and Jokić’s playmaking. They continued to dominate, starting the fourth quarter with a 15-6 run to build a 20-point lead.
The win marked the Nuggets’ 13th victory in their last 14 games against the Lakers, further cementing their recent dominance over the franchise.
