Against Latvia, Nikola Jokic set his new career-high with Serbia, scoring 39 points — the most ever by a Serbian player at EuroBasket since independence in 2007.
The Denver Nuggets star now owns three of Serbia’s Top 5 single-game scoring records, alongside Milos Teodosic (32 in 2009) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (30 in 2017).
“He’s our leader, he motivates us all,” said Filip Petrusev. Ognjen Dobric added: “With him on the court, we’re a much better team. You know what he can do”.
