Nikola Jokic could sign the richest contract in NBA history next offseason. According to ESPN salary-cap expert Bobby Marks, the Denver Nuggets center could land a five-year, $359.5 million deal if he enters free agency.

Jokic is under contract for the next two seasons, with a player option for 2027-28. He has been eligible to sign a four-year, $278 million max extension since June 14, but if he declines to sign it, he could turn down his player option and hit the market for an even bigger deal.

A contract of that size would push Jokic’s career on-court earnings to $724 million. The three-time MVP, selected No. 41 in the 2014 NBA Draft, led Denver to its first NBA title in 2023 and is coming off a season in which he averaged 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game.
