Nico Laprovittola is returning to Joventut Badalona after agreeing to a three-year contract with the club.
The Argentine point guard previously wore the Joventut jersey from 2017 to 2019, earning ACB MVP honors during his second season.
Following that spell, Laprovittola spent two years with Real Madrid before joining Barcelona in the 2021-22 season. With the Blaugrana, he averaged 9.7 points and 3.7 assists per game across the ACB and EuroLeague in the latest campaign.
Now, Laprovittola is set for a highly anticipated return to Badalona, described by the club as a “historic” move and “one of the best pieces of news in the recent history of Joventut.”
He will form a high-level backcourt partnership with another elite point guard, Ricky Rubio, giving Joventut one of the most experienced guard duos in European basketball.
