Four-year, $62M deal for the Canadian guard; Kennard signs for one year

The Atlanta Hawks have acquired Nickeil Alexander-Walker from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a four-year, $62 million sign-and-trade, sending a 2027 second-round pick (via Cleveland) and cash, per ESPN.

Additionally, the Hawks signed Luke Kennard to a one-year, $11 million deal. Kennard, one of the NBA’s best shooters, shot 43.3% from three last season in Memphis on 4 attempts per game.

Hawks star Trae Young personally recruited both players, aiming to push Atlanta back into Eastern Conference contention.
