NFTs and tokens, a new bond between Partizan and its fans

Partizan penned a five-year partnership with Swiss-based sports tech company Blocksport in February

Over the past year, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has embraced the digital revolution with a series of digital token and NFT sales and advancements on the club’s app (Android/iOS) that place it at the forefront of basketball clubs worldwide.

Partizan penned a five-year partnership with Swiss-based sports tech company Blocksport in February. Among the initial plans were to develop Partizan utility-based fan tokens as well as exclusive NFTs from the great moments in the club’s rich history.

In August, the first Fan Tokens, named PTZT, became available on the club’s app and to date, more than 10,000 have been sold. Owners of those tokens may be eligible for special rewards and benefits, including access to exclusive videos, community chats, signed merchandise and meet-and-greets with select players.

PTZT Tokens are €1 apiece. They act as stable coins and are not listed on crypto exchanges so even if the crypto market crashes, Partizan’s Fan Tokens never lose their value. Soon PTZT owners will even be able to make passive income by staking their fan tokens on the Blocksport platform.

In October, Partizan released its first line of NFTs to celebrate the 1992 EuroLeague-winning team. There were 15 NFTs available for purchase: 12 photos of the players who captured the crown in Istanbul plus three videos of the most emotional moments. In doing so, Partizan became one of the first basketball clubs in Europe to bring its own NFTs to market.

The NFTs are sold through the Partizan app. The first two were auctioned off on October 15 and the auctions are ongoing. Partizan launched a collection of 3D jersey NFTs, too. Each owner of said NFTs will also receive a physical jersey signed by the team and Coach Zeljko Obradovic.

The more than 20,000 fans who have already downloaded the Partizan app can also partake in fan missions and quizzes for opportunities to win special prizes such as tickets to EuroLeague games, signed merchandise and more. On top of that, the app brings all the club’s social media, news, ticket sales and much more under one roof.

Partizan aims to become the most digitally savvy basketball club in the world by continuously educating fans about the power of blockchain and the benefits of the technology. Through its efforts with its app, Fan Tokens and NFT sales, Partizan is well on its way.
