Jalen Brunson sprained his right ankle in the first quarter and did not return in the New York Knicks’ 112-101 loss at Sacramento.
He exited at the 7:01 mark after an awkward step on a pass about a minute earlier.

Brunson was initially listed as questionable but was ruled out at halftime, finishing with four points in five minutes.
The Knicks did not provide an update postgame, and Brunson left without speaking to reporters.
Mike Brown called it one of the worst games the Knicks have played all year and said the team didn’t respond after Brunson left.
The report also notes Brunson’s prior right-ankle sprains earlier this season and last year.
