New Orleans Pelicans asking for multiple first-round picks for Trey Murphy III and Herb Jones

The New Orleans Pelicans continue to draw trade interest in Trey Murphy III and Herb Jones, but they are not looking to sell low.
According to Marc Stein, New Orleans is seeking three first-round picks for Murphy and two for Jones.

“Teams have been trying to pilfer Herb Jones from the Pelicans for ages now,” Stein said. “Last season, New Orleans was basically telling teams that if Trey Murphy and Herb Jones weren’t untouchable, they were pretty close. You were going to have to offer three firsts for Trey Murphy or two firsts for Herb Jones.”

Jones could become a particularly interesting name on the market, as he is coming off the bench this season and has seen his playing time dip below 20 minutes per game. The Oklahoma City Thunder are among the wing-needy teams linked to him.
