The league issued a warning to the San Antonio Spurs star after he did not speak to reporters following Game 5 against Oklahoma City

The NBA has warned Victor Wembanyama for violating media access rules after the San Antonio Spurs’ Game 5 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

According to ESPN, Wembanyama was not made available to reporters after San Antonio’s 127-114 defeat, which left the Spurs trailing 3-2 in the Western Conference finals.

The French star finished with 20 points on 4-of-15 shooting, while coach Mitch Johnson said the Spurs are “going to need to” get their center going to avoid elimination in Game 6.

The NBA has fined players in the past for skipping media availability after playoff games, including Jimmy Butler and Dillon Brooks, who each received $25,000 fines in 2023.
