According to reports, Jones allegedly shared information about LeBron James’ availability to facilitate betting against the Lakers. The league’s request includes property from trainer Mike Mancias and executive Randy Mims, both long associated with James. Neither has been charged nor named in federal documents.
There is no evidence implicating LeBron James, and sources emphasize the Lakers are among several teams cooperating with the probe. The NBA’s move follows pressure from Congress and aims to reinforce confidence in the league’s anti-gambling integrity policies.
