The New York Knicks cruised past the Philadelphia 76ers with a 99-85 win in the first NBA Preseason game of the season
After a balanced opening quarter, debuting head coach Brown’s squad took control in the middle periods, outscoring Philadelphia 56-32 to build a decisive lead.
At the Etihad Arena, both teams rotated heavily through their benches. For the Knicks, Miles McBride impressed with 12 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals, while Mitchell Robinson dominated the glass with 7 points and 16 rebounds. Mikal Bridges also added 10 points and 2 steals.
For the Sixers, Tyrese Maxey posted 14 points and 4 assists, matched by rookie VJ Edgecombe, who contributed 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in his preseason debut after being selected No. 3 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft.
