The New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a trade involving four players and future draft assets. According to ESPN, New Orleans is sending Jordan Hawkins, Micah Peavy, a future second-round pick and a future second-round pick swap to Memphis in exchange for AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson.
Hawkins, the 14th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, leaves New Orleans after two seasons with the franchise. Johnson, meanwhile, is a young guard selected in the second round of the 2024 Draft. Gibson brings valuable experience and leadership to the Pelicans’ roster.
