The NBA is reviewing the Oklahoma City Thunder for a possible violation of the league’s player participation policy. The focus is on their March 7 win over Portland, where Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Luguentz Dort, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Cason Wallace all sat out.
Despite missing their key players, the Thunder still won 107-89, led by Aaron Wiggins’ 30 points and Jaylin Williams’ first career triple-double.
The NBA recently fined Utah for sitting Lauri Markkanen and is also investigating the Philadelphia 76ers for resting Paul George and Tyrese Maxey.
