The blockbuster deal involving the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets has been completed. The trade, centered around Peyton Watson’s move to Cleveland, was officially completed overnight and involves five franchises. At the moment, only the Cavaliers have yet to officially announce the trade.

Here is the full breakdown of the deal:

* Cleveland Cavaliers receive Peyton Watson, Cam Whitmore and the draft rights to Ismael Kamagate.
* Los Angeles Clippers receive Max Strus.
* Denver Nuggets receive Cleveland’s 2031 unprotected first-round pick, Sacramento’s 2032 second-round pick and Julian Reese, who is likely to be waived.
* Washington Wizards receive Tre Mann and the Clippers’ 2027 second-round pick.
* Charlotte Hornets receive Dennis Schröder and cash considerations.

Watson is the main target for Cleveland in the deal. The forward, coming off a season in which he averaged 14.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in 54 games, signed a four-year, $88 million contract with the Cavaliers.

To acquire the Nuggets forward, Cleveland had to give up Max Strus, who is heading to the Clippers, as well as an unprotected 2031 first-round pick. Los Angeles absorbed Strus’ contract through a trade exception, while the 2027 second-round pick was used as part of the deal involving Washington.

The trade therefore grew considerably larger than the initial agreement between the Cavaliers, Nuggets and Clippers, also incorporating the Wizards-Hornets transactions involving Tre Mann and Dennis Schröder.

Only Cleveland’s official announcement remains for the blockbuster deal to be fully completed from a communication standpoint, making it one of the most complex trades of the NBA offseason.
