An anonymous NBA executive believes Paul George still carries meaningful trade value despite no longer being the player he was at his peak. His rare skill set and the relatively short duration of his contract are viewed as positive factors.
“He is not the player he was 10 years ago, but he still has that rare skillset,” the executive told Sean Deveney.
“If a player has that, he’s got value. If he has that and he is on a short contract, that’s even more value.” George’s future remains a potential topic on the trade market, but according to this executive, his contract should not automatically be viewed as a negative asset.
