The bidding process for the 12 permanent franchises in the proposed NBA Europe league has generated strong investor interest, with London and Paris reportedly attracting offers exceeding $1 billion.
However, not every franchise reached the NBA’s expected $500 million entry price. League officials remain confident that the remaining teams will hit that valuation as unsuccessful bidders shift their focus to other markets. Meanwhile, negotiations with the EuroLeague continue over the competition’s future.
The NBA also projects more than €10 billion will be distributed to participating clubs during the league’s first decade.
