The NBA denied the New York Knicks a $7.8 million Disabled Player Exception for stopping Mitchell Robinson.
The reason? There would be optimism about the player’s return before the end of the regular season.
Robinson had surgery on his ankle, and the Knicks could get him back for the playoffs.
The Knicks are getting tremendous play out of Isaiah Hartenstein in Robinson’s absence and possibility of them back together in playoffs is massive for New York.
