The NBA has officially released the 2026 NBA Cup schedule, with group play set to tip off on October 30 and conclude on November 27. Opening night will feature two blockbuster matchups as the defending NBA champion New York Knicks host LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Los Angeles Lakers travel to face the Golden State Warriors.
The Knicks, who captured both the NBA Cup and the NBA championship last season, will also face the Indiana Pacers on November 13 and the Miami Heat on November 27 during group play. After declining to hang a banner for their NBA Cup triumph, New York will instead raise its NBA championship banner on opening night, October 20, before hosting Philadelphia.
NBA Cup group play games will be held every Friday from October 30 through November 27, with additional games on November 24 and 25. The six group winners and one wild-card team from each conference will advance to the quarterfinals on December 4-5, followed by the semifinals on December 8-9. The championship game will take place on December 11 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The NBA is expected to release the complete 2026-27 regular-season schedule on Thursday.
