Nachbar: Some Euroleague teams are trying not to pay the players since March 12

Nachbar: We are all going to lose at this moment

ELPA general director Bostjan nachbar talks with AS about the situation in Euroleague, and about the negotiations to find a general agreement for the players.

“The Euroleague, like the NBA and other sports, does well to continue working to see if the season can resume , even if there is more than a 90% chance that it will be canceled. You have to stay positive and realistic at the same time. The health of the players must prevail and will only return if the sanitary conditions are met”
The objective of the Association is to reach a minimum agreement that guarantees players the payment of an important part of their salary. We are all going to lose at this moment and the clubs realize the importance of reaching a collective understanding, which is much better than waiting for the decision of a third party, the BAT.
There are teams from ten different countries in the Euroleague, each with its own regulations. The Barça players have accepted a negotiation with the club, there is an agreement, we know that in Madrid, Valencia or Milan they will not see problems, but some teams try not to pay the players since March 12 and that’s where we must achieve minimum objectives.
